From My Diary - Introspection

I am only an artist I always have been, so I will be Trying to communicate in ways With words, images, pictures Open up my heart to heal The brokenness from days gone by I will give what I can, I always have But must face the pattern of losses Mistakes or time so easily swept away Fill the emptiness that may emerge This is a place for my inner being To live in safety simply through a pen Knowing, I can share what I choose Or keep it in a private treasure chest I don’t believe life is meant to be easy The harder we try, the harder it gets I process things my diary will not forget In a sweet haven where my heart rests Heidi Sands 11/2/17 Placed 4th for My Diary Contest.

I liked you poem so much more than my entry into this contest! I did an introspection as well...though it wasn't about me necessarily, but it was about someone I know of! I really enjoyed your heartfelt poem here, so full of heartache and pain expressed so eloquently, I loved each word! What an awesome piece, Great Work!!

it takes a certain amount of courage to expose ones most inner thoughts to the world and as for life it is not easy, it's one hurdle after another with a small pause between, we'll all be judged on how we handle these hurdles it's the one thing in life we all have in common..good luck in the contest
