From Childhood - 3

THE MAN WITH SWOLLEN, RED FACE Father of Elaine The very quiet The sad sweet faced girl Every night at sundown here he comes weaving Just slightly bent With expressionless face And next day at school…….Elaine? I wonder what happens every night When the red-faced man goes home to dinner?

This is sad, Daver. I assume it's a poem inside the childhood book i have of yours? I am wondering if it was a neighbor girl you saw? Are the poems of your childhood fiction or are they created from reality? I really liked this one. LUv, Andrea ps. I wish I had those magic lock beans too, but sadly, I do not! Thanks for that Robin williams body description you gave me. geeez. hahaha

Kind of a scary thought. There is far more child abuse in this world than people would like to admit to. Sad that parents hurt the very children they are supposed to love. Creative way to convey an important message. Thank you for your kind comment. Keep on writing!! Karen
