Frog Who Never Ran Away
Spotted Owl walked around showing off his friend frog all day.
He reminded me of a sage cat, who with a mouse will play.
I wondered if the frog knew he would soon end up as prey?
I thought the frog was stupid, for he never ran away.
They sang songs by a campfire in the morning light.
I knew they did it now, for the frog would be dead by night.
The frog was hopping around, showing off his tummy all light.
If he had known Spotted Owl, he might have shown some fright.
We ran down to see what they were doing in the afternoon
They were riding around in a colorful striped aqua hot air balloon.
We looked at each other and said “That idiotic frog is a goon.”
By evening the Spotted Owl was fighting over the frog with a coon.
