Friends make me smile, they don't need be
anything else but a friend to me
I am not asking for a circus act, no need.
Nor do I ask my friends to feed
Me things I might prefer to hear
Just be there, be yourself, be near
I only ask you to be who you are, just you
For that alone I'm asking you to
Sit down, breathe, relax and smile
And stay with me for a little while
:)
