Forsaken destiny

Oh destiny, why have you deserted me?
this life of mine lays in wasted flame
in tight restraint the heart sets free
for liberty to make love true, a claim

to wisdom and her open door, the mind
alas remain in chains of mortal ways
to crucify the acts of goodness, blind
I walk like a caned man, through haze

Seeking your miracle, to joyous end
my gentle love rejoices in it's bless
it tries to sanctify and make amends
But what of destiny? Oh love no less!

I'd rather live the life that's truly mine
then weep a tear n' sing an auld lang syne.

Hi T.J. nice to see another excellent write by Vienna and yourself. A wonderful flow of lines by you both. Once more you both let the hearts sing. The emotions sing true and your words paint the canvas so clearly in my mind. This is another golden Sonnet, written by two excellent poets. May your hearts keep singing. A seven and into my faves for this little gem.

A most excellent sonnet by two super poets. I just presented a sonnet written early this morn, titled- "Forsaken Love".. What a strange coincidence. A7
