Unbroken and Endless It is autumn my love and the leaves are falling, burnt orange, red, and brown are drifting here and there; the squirrels and chipmunks run wild from stone to stone, and hidden birds are singing loud in the golden trees. I walk a familiar path winding, with feet that know each curve; and each crack in the pavement, until I stand silent. I touch your name deeply engraved, with a love unbroken by death; endless has been my devotion for all these long years, for you have always dwelled within my heart . . . Our vow of love is still unbroken, I have loved only you always, meet me at heaven's gate my love- for my time is soon; my days are few. __________________________ September 17, 2017 Verse/You Pick the Form Copyright Protected, ID 940469 Written for the contest, Enter Your Own Competition (Form U- U Pick The Form - Theme chosen- Unbroken) Criterion in this poem is - mood sponsor, Cecelia Hopkins-Drewer Third Place

Congratulations Constance: I love how you set the tone for love unbroken that speaks of undying devotion. A great example for your own contest. I have missed a lot of your contests lately because we went traveling. Hugs, SuZ

I LOVE this, Constance. How clever to use your current contest and show how well YOU can do your very own challenge. I want to start on my entry for you soon this week!! You truly would win your own contest if I were judging it!!
