For the Poet.....

My two miracles, black and white lay dreaming. I roll the last of the Cabernet over my tongue as I inhale every drop of the prose she has so skillfully penned; tannic, yet satisfactory. The attack.........ripened, smashed cherries The evolution.......bitter cacoa nibs.......... The finish.......an aftertaste of lonliness and heartbreak.... yet still I want more.

"Yet still I want more" was an upbeat way to end this poem that seems to express great pain. We sometimes suffer when we love, don't we? Nice work, Carolyn

You, my dear, are too much! We need to hear much more from you. I have read your stuff over and over. One of your poems is worth fifty of a lesser poet. Thanks for reading my stuff. I stay away from the too personal. I write simply, simply because I want everyone to read my stuff, without having to resort to a dictionary. Love, daver
