For God So Loved
You are my Father,
I am Your child.
You are faithful and loving,
I am wayward and wild.
You lead and direct me,
Down paths that are good.
I don't always follow
The way that I should.
Your love is relentless,
You never give up.
Despite all my failures,
You still fill my cup.
Your grace is amazing,
Your mercy is too.
It's hard to imagine
A love that's so true.
You sent Your own Son,
To die on a cross,
To pay for my sins,
And save me from loss.
A sacrifice so dear,
For one such as I,
I'm humbled and broken;
I can only ask, why?
For God so loved...
The Scripture does say.
That is the reason
That I have been saved.
