We lived in an old house during our childhood, that was known to be haunted, On certain days footsteps were heard loud and clear walking across the verandah to our kitchen. we had two doors between the steps and us but that eerie sound still haunts us!That will forever remain a mystery! I know what spooky means!!
footsteps of someone walking, past midnight,
were too afraid to check or shine a light,
children huddled in corner of old house,
we breathe in fear, a game of cat and mouse,
mystery footsteps walk to our kitchen,
ears follow every step horror smitten,
hear creaking doors and rattling cooking ware,
next day, no evidence anyone was there!
