Fool's Gold

I keep in mind, what I want a true friend to be. Someone who proves they are loyal to me To know that honesty, is part of who they are. They will travel life's journey with you, no matter how far. They see you, the real you, the bad and the good, They know what you are all about, it's understood. A heart of pure gold, is what you hope to find. Not an imposter, or the "fool's gold" kind.

Another beautiful poem. The topic is amazing, as finding friends has become so difficult those years. In the good times or bad times, is when u can discover who is your friend. Sometimes a word from a real friend can change ones day or night. For me i don't expect not to be disappointed. Keep writing, you are really and truly a wonderful writer. Bravo. Love Terry xoxo

Thank you, Jan When we go through difficult times in our lives, sometimes friends are unable to ride it out with you. I haved lived it but I do have those friends that are supportive throughout, that is a true gift.

Am still in shock, didn't expect this one. It does make you feel so good, that your poem was thought to be good enough to win. I stll can't believe that I write poetry, let alone win a contest with it. It has been a gift when I needed it the most. And now, the rest is history!!!
