Flood
Wherever I go I’ll will be listening to you with all cylinders
Your voice no longer interrupted by my thoughts
Casual comments becoming your defining moments
If love was a flood we would all wish to drown
We make boats of concern so as not to be engulfed by
The myriad ways we pour our hearts towards each other
Fearing the sense of collapse
The illusion of control and limits:
The baker riding his own carpet of dough to the moon:
Loving our cashiers:
Hugging arcade games:
Flying through branches
Wherever we go
