In this little gem of a Lanterne, you so skillfully reflected how torrid June can be! Bravo and Good luck in the contest! Hugs. Pandita

Tom, you've laid it on quite thick here. I'm uncomfortably sweaty and irritated just reading this!! G.L. in the contest, Gershon

Thanks Gershon, love a bit of decent weather but when it climbs and becomes unbearable I struggle. Tom.

Are summers getting hotter and winters colder in the UK - we saw a documentary - unhappy state of affairs - pollution is diminishing the ozone layer which has and is and will cause extremes weather conditions. Our summers go up 41 degrees centigrade, unbearable, and we are almost in June and our temperatures have rarely gone below 24 degrees whereas the really cold weather should have started by now! Unpredictable times - great poem for the contest - holding thumbs - hugs, Jennifer.

Hotter summers if we get them but winters seem to be getting very mild in the UK. Hope you get your hot spell soon. Tom.

Actually in my neck of the woods we have what is called 'June gloom' - where it's overcast and drizzling rain for about half the month - but I don't want to rush into muggy stifling nights, either!

Thanks Michelle, a bit of rain we can cope with but the muggy nights are so uncomfortable. Tom

great picture to go with your poem. Yes, June can be bad but July is even worse. Right now I would not mind this June you write of since May is really rainy for us, very unusual!!
