Femme Fatale Nonpareil

She enters the room, sipping blood red wine, Work of art, all competition fades, outshined, Well spoken yet vulnerable, designed to attract, Capturing attention, vanguard of her attack. Waited ones lifetime, “Ne plus ultra” comes along, Drawn towards her, praying nothing goes wrong, What a perfect body, sumptuous lips shine so bright, Lusting to touch her mouth, if just a tiny bite. Dancing loosely together, whispers words, unclear, Not sure what being said, lean forward to hear, Gently kisses your face, enhancing her spell, Fire rages inside you, electrifying every cell. Her smile’s alluring, swept off ones feet, Perfumes beguiling, God be so sweet, Softly caressing, seduction takes its toll, Floor is spinning, head starts to roll, Senses frozen, Hearts aching’ Body’s craving Lose control. Surrendering to every fantasy, made love through dawn, This lady’s a Goddess, if not born to the Devils spawn, Bombshell drops “I’M MARRIED” gets beaten every day, Implores you on her knees, make my husband go away, Swore an oath, In jealous rage, Gave your soul, His life paid. Languishing in prison, Having taken all the blame, Could not betray her, “Nonpareil” shan’t be slain, That moment spent together, time’s forever still, Killer-scapegoat, never a chance, let alone the will. Strapped in deaths chamber, lines connected to your veins, Unforgettable night of ecstasy, somehow soothes the pain, Any last words “I’m sorry, but would not change a thing, Executioners press buttons, lethal injection pours within. Femme fatales so delicious, men just need a little taste, Hooked on their poison, keep drinking, knowing it’s laced, Forbidden fruit, too much temptation, Adam took the bait, Desire can be irresistible, when self denial’s far too great. Dance with Salome, It’s your head, Not The Baptist’s On her plate. The Gem That Slipped Through The Cracks Poetry Contest Sponsored by Edward Ibah 09/02/2021

Thank you seeker, I’m so delighted with the placement, a story of deluded lust, with someone you should never trust, easier said than done, in this case, cheers David

Thanks you Gary, this one was inspired by the black comedy movie, (To Die For) starring Nicole Kidman, as the Femme Fatale sweeping everyone off their feet, was one of my earliest poems, I got lost a couple of times, but just about managed, to satisfactorily complete it, cheers David
