Fear of Me

Freedom a state I seek Each moment I lie awake Another ray filters in rousing Restless rumours of slumber Over thinking every move I make Forgetting nothing but what matters Mindless muddles of thought never Erasing an unpleasant past Leaving traces of me Along the lonely path Scattered amongst The well wishers and Singers of false praise Freedom a state I seek Over time taken away with Reflections of a younger self Each wrinkle highlighted by Visions of endless fright Echoed in hollow chambers Replayed every sleepless night

Usually our mind is our most harsh judge... Making us overthink and doubt our decisions... Very well said - loved it Tim <3

That will do it! This one I like a lot because it comes from that special place inside where it can be painful to go, Tim. Honest and dark. I love it:)

this is quite good, Tim. I love how you lengthened out the title to "leaves forever" on the end. I am suffering insomnia a lot lately. My fear is of sleepless nights! but maybe for different reasons than you!

Often we overthink things, especially if we feel we are to blame and those thoughts will definitely haunt on sleepless nights. Nicely done Tim.
