Father Why did you abandon your twin daughters? Was it because of not wanting to support us? It remains a puzzle that keeps my mind searching for the missing pieces in this lifetime of knowing you through old photos and your name. 7-12-18 Abandon 2 Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Brenda Chiri

Oh, honey, this one knocks the beats from my heart. I feel you feeling this. So direct, to the point of the why of the hurt. I'm all but crying. Bear hug ... CayCay

Hi Connie, an Etheree that says much. I was sorry to read through this poem but i have to say you have become a most wonderful person. To lose a father through illness is one thing but to be abandoned, that is hard for me to comprehend. Wishing you luck in the contest Connie. Have a wonderful Thursday. Hugs....Mike. XX

It is true Becca. My mother was married to my father for 7 years, then we came along and he took off and never paid for my older brother who is 7 years older than us, either. He is long dead now in the '80's. Thank you Becca. : )

I couldn't possibly imagine abandoning my child or being abandoned as a child. I know it happens way too often. Wonderfully written but very sad, Mrs Connie.
