Far From Her Desire

Listen to poem:
My emotions welled up when she took flight And my mind struggled with visions for years The sun turned gray and fell into night When eyes began to cry anguished tears A hand was placed in the wounds where I bled Loneliness gave acknowledgement of death When she walked away and pronounced me dead This lover strangled my love 'till last breath A cold grave was dug by deceitful hands As she buried me far from her desire No past nor memory her mind demands To leave me lonely wearing death's attire She stole my innocence, tore it apart Then took my love and left a broken heart 2/7/17 contest You Broke My Heart

Very, very good my friend. This has a cryptic tone to it and the pain and anguish of a broken heart is felt. Your reading of it was fantastic.
