Far Away (Desert-Bound Blues)

Today I'm leaving you I cannot stay, It's getting late And though I hate to go I have to leave, the hours won't wait. It's pointless now to ask Why do we ever have to part This is our kind of life And we've known this right from the start. Far away I'm going, for long I will be gone Far away I'm heading, I'll miss you treasured one. There's sadness in your eyes Oh, love, there's sorrow in your smile I'd love to hold you tight Just once before I start a mile. Now take care, dear, sleep well I'll be okay, I'll be alright Until that day when we Won't have to part comes warm and bright.
