Eurydice and Her Moonbeamed Tresses

~~~~~~ Why in his presence, did her soft heart, always like sweet cotton candy melt? Orchestral songs played only angelic feelings, to her heart, so aquamarine velvet. Such starlit, subtle, shameless, suggestive glances. An antennae in every way was she, inviting kaleidoscopic, tsunami romances. On the ship, with a cape of fog, blessing her chiseled face, His arms enclosed her in a velveteen tsunamied, golden, silent embrace. Oh, poetess, penning of feelings of deep intimacy. Your poem, will be stamped “romantic “ a term you loathe that is utterly curt and pedantic! But only a poet who knows your heart to its inner flaming core, Has the outstanding bravissimo to knock on your truly insatiable, heart’s-door. Dare he try his wings and wish for such magically, exotic, sensual satisfaction? Wrapped in those twilight, wild mmonbeamed curls of Eurydice’s Olympian extraction! 9/19/2021
The emotions are on heightened alert, and so satisfying to read: "kaleidoscopic, tsunami romances", "knows your heart to its inner flaming core", "such magically, exotic, sensual satisfaction"... wow! And Orpheus, that incredible musician pouring out his talents of "Orchestral songs played only angelic feelings, to her heart". Your romanticism shines Pangie, and I am sending this to my Faves. Wordsworth would be proud of you! Hugs ~ John
Dear John, I am humbled by your words! Going into your faves is a high honor. I rarely write like this anymore and I do not know why I stopped. I should repost this because I am quite partial to the movie, it’s beauty, color and drama set in modern day Brazil always moves me. I saw Luis Bonafa playing the theme song today on you Tube…there is also avideo of Stan Getz playing.it.Maybe I should write another version? I will accept your beautiful comments, John. Gracias! Your undeserving …Panagiota xxx
Very enchanting...yes, romantic. Some would give much for one evening of such magic -- but only the poet/poetess owns such kingdoms eternally. Nicely done my friend.
Joe aka Prince de Mino. This is not a romantic poem which is Different. than Romanticism.. it has its own set of rules to follow and isharder to write...how did I know? Look at poem types at PS.. Yes, it’s my kingdom but I also invited a poet to my kingdom. So far he is a no show! Alas, PS I listed the poem as Romanticism not romantic, Pangie..,alone in the moonlight.))) Alas, Panagiota, thanks Joe
