End-Of-Year Affair September ends, and new beginning starts; a time of year for holidays, warm hearts. Goodbye to balmy Fall, for soon she parts, gives up warm days for cold fall-winter air, to lead us to an end-of-year affair: our thoughts will turn to season's cheer that starts with Halloween, Thanksgiving then departs for Christmas when, with love and peace we share. Scary Halloween, goblins and ghosts, trick or treat. With warm hearts and harvest feast, Thanksgiving follows. Then come Christmas trees and gifts; 'Jingle Bells' and 'Silent Night'. September 28, 2016 Contest: Three Style II Sponsor: Laura Loo Rules: 1. One Couplet: A-A 2. One Stanza with rhyme scheme: A-B-B-A-A-B 3. One Sedoka: syllable count: 5-7-7-5-7-7 (no rhyme scheme)

It certainly won't be long enough for me! I hope we get to enjoy a long autumn before the snow starts flying. How quickly the days are passing. Your festive poem is a reminder just how fast they go by. I enjoyed reading you this morning, Mrs Sandra.

I am with you on that, Daniel. It is hard to remember that we are still in Autumn when the stores are already decorated with Christmas Trees! Again, thank you for reading my poem and for your supportive comment. Sandra
