End-Of-Year Affair
September ends, and new beginning starts;
a time of year for holidays, warm hearts.
Goodbye to balmy Fall, for soon she parts,
gives up warm days for cold fall-winter air,
to lead us to an end-of-year affair:
our thoughts will turn to season's cheer that starts
with Halloween, Thanksgiving then departs
for Christmas when, with love and peace we share.
Scary Halloween,
goblins and ghosts, trick or treat.
With warm hearts and harvest feast,
Thanksgiving follows.
Then come Christmas trees and gifts;
'Jingle Bells' and 'Silent Night'.
