Embracing the Day
today
my mind drifts
on the rift
of thoughts
i stand
beneath
this empty sky
as clouds
like doubt
shroud
the stars
where wishes
were made
in darkness
i watch
as silvery streaks
break free
in the folds
of a blushing
horizon
i smile back
knowing
my wishes
are adrift
in october's air
tonight
i'll see you again
inside of dreams
where you touch back
like this breeze
embracing me
