Embrace Not the Blues of Yesterday - Chapter 2

Let the blessed breeze blow… I want you to stay for a while Please don’t go – I wanna let you know That I love you…I’d run the extra mile Just to see you smile once more I swore in my heart that I won’t hurt you anymore There is peace in abundance in store Change is a challenging chore I’m dancing like crazy on the dance floor Without a care, Without a worry on my mind Can you turn up the music just a hair? I don’t wanna be left behind Slow down if you can be so kind The DJ turned up the music It was so not upbeat and kind of therapeutic Embrace not me…embrace me not… x2 I don’t wanna be rooted to the spot and rot Embrace me not, sorrow of yesterday’s tomorrow… Embrace not me…embrace me not…x2 Or you’ll be doused in dismay or worse – you’ll have eternal sorrow I want the reds, the yellows and the oranges to stay Stay with me, greens, violets and blues and maybe gray Embrace not the blues of yesterday Come stay, sundrenched day I sway with the blessed breeze My mind, soul and heart is at ease Embrace the blues of yesterday Embrace the highs of tomorrow Embrace the blues In the mirror, I see my blurred reflection Embrace not me…embrace me not… x2 I don’t wanna be rooted to the spot and rot Embrace me not, sorrow of yesterday’s tomorrow… Embrace not me…embrace me not…x2 Or you’ll be doused in dismay or worse – you’ll have eternal sorrow I want the reds, the yellows and the oranges to stay Stay with me, greens, violets and blues and maybe gray Embrace not the blues of yesterday Come stay, sundrenched day I sway with the blessed breeze My mind, soul and heart is at ease
