Sonnet, (Love and Regret, Chained Together),(Sad Lives)

Note- Written about two people I knew them both many decades ago.
Over 40 years now  and they are still together.
Seems they each learned to forgive and lived happily after all.
Love is also about forgiveness....

Each Swearing, One Day More, Just One Day More Moon was waning, much needed sleep gaining both lovers tired of heartache explaining. One cried, there is the exit door take it I alone will surely fair well, make it. Other lover cried, yes, I bet you could with the guy, that has been chopping my wood. There is the door, why don't you just take it I was real my love, I didn't fake it. Silence stood hard, from naked truths given both lovers needed to be forgiven. Then sleep overtook both their warring dreams soon would come morning sun soft golden gleams. They dressed, then ate and kissed at the front door. Each swearing, one day more, just one day more! My dear friend, a great and inspiring poem demonstrating the power and perseverance of love that has the resiliency and strength to withstand storms that would easily blow other relationships away.. forgiveness is a beautiful gift to both receive and give, and your poem is a beautiful and shining gem, dear Robert. Warmest wishes always my wonderful friend.. ~Susan
