Drive By
Not a soldier of war
Caught up in a family of no one cares just drive by
Cousin Charlie sitting on the steps
Not even knowing it's soon to be his last breath
Drive, bye
Coward points a gun
Shoots his sixth victim
Neither a battle now a war
Black boys and men being killed just because they can
Not greed nor material things or money just drive by
I can pull the trigger and run just because and run just because I can dummy
No thought for life, life not worth an insect a roach, drive bye
I can kill because I can and I will
Neither a battle nor war
He's not a police officer
Protecting citizens because he can and will
Kill again because he can
In his mindset this is right
Because he can
Drive by in the mid day or late at night
Just drive by and hang the gun out the window out of sight
Pull the trigger and watch the man fall down to the earth
Neither a battle nor war
He's not a police officer
Drive by take a life
Not always gang related sometimes just taking care of what's mine
Because he can this cowardly way of killing doesn't make way or sense
so why shoot-em
The teenager, the elder, the child, mother/father doesn't make you a man
Drive by, drive bye
Because you can pull a trigger and shoot someone in the back
Not a battle or war
Just a cowards way of getting over
Because he can
Drive by
