Dreams
I haven’t had a decent dream since a many nights ago
Dreams I do yearn for to accompany my lonely sleep
Some light for the night simply if to ease my soul
Some sanity from the insane world I would love to keep
A little mystery stays hidden always in dreams
Keeping us alive and well yet as well to despair
And no one I know can truly decipher its means
Yet of truth be spoken… listen will you dare?
Like a stranger with no name
Like the skies without limits
Like falling in love within the world’s game
Like a fool without toys, to simply weep
Can I control my dreams to come?
To fly should I choose when and where?
To do the things as reality leaves to be undone
And with the world, with words will I share
Since a many nights ago, I haven’t had a dream
A dream to leave me sane in my hours of need
A day for a night with its never-ending stream
Perhaps its but a sane world for my insanity to keep…
