Distant Memories
Beckoning across barren fields
Nature hurls at me its haunting call
Luring me for a walk in the woods
My proclivity to step into its timelessness
Effervescent with every nuance of color
Spirited sounds of birds and critters
Sunlight shining through each aperture
Tugging at romantic imagination
Reminded of a distant saga of english knights
Blessed with zealous temerity and
Courage flowing through their veins
Valor infused through their marrow
As their prominence does attest
In the ambient nobility of these woods
