Desire Me

All I ever wanted from you, was for you to desire me I desired not any of your material things I coveted not any of your sentimental possessions All I ever wanted from you, was for you to desire only me Don't desire me for the things I could give you Don't desire me for the things I can avail you to do No, no, my misguided love Desire me for simply me Inanimate objects can't give you affectionate warmth, faraway places can't give you close intimacy No, no, my misguided love Only I can give you those things, I alone, only me So please my dear, please hear my plea All I ever asked of you, was for you to desire just me All I ever wanted of you, was for you to desire me jealously

Hi Freddie, I was drawn to your title alone. I thought to myself who is this write about? A jilted lover perhaps? But I must say your twist at the end was totally unexpected. I enjoyed the read this fine morning:-)Alexis

Enjoyed the twist at the end! Your words do resembles my frequent prayers to our Father. 'Billy Jack Attack' is another humorous that most don't get. If your familiar with the 70's movie called 'Billy Jack' that is. I just let my mind go that day and whatever came out came out. I see the humor the I know others may not.

Love and desire should not be based on material assets. You say it well, Freddie: "Desire me for simply me". Regards // paul
