“Deep as first love, and wild as all regret” Alfred Lord Tennyson
Deep as first love, and wild as all regret, the memories of you are deeply etched. And I replay each one lest I forget even the silly ones that seem far-fetched. Your smile resides within my heart and soul never to be forgotten or misplaced. And although death keeps me from feeling whole, the years we shared can never be erased. You visit my dreams as well as my thoughts reminding me of how love used to be. And I find I'm thinking about you lots, death has affected every inch of me. There's nothing left for me now, but to wait, who died first was a choice God left to fate. (Sonnet) 02/23/2020
