Death of a Unwanted Lover

“I’m kneeling on the floor,” “Bent over; fear in my veins knowing I will be no more.” “My hands are to my chest,” “There’s no thump thumping past my vest.” “She stands across from me with a knife,” “I played the game with someone else’s wife.” “My heart, my heart is in her left hand,” “On it I can see the love brand.” “This isn’t love, loves not like this,” “The last time I remember it the feeling was bliss.” “She’s…she’s fading,” “The jezebel’s evading.” “I’m…I’m dying,” “I can feel the tears roll down my cheeks, I’m crying!” “Men don’t break down and cry,” “This isn’t love but it hurts so much… why?”

You truly are the "mad poet" Sid. Your verses tell marvellous tales. Am doing a bit of exploring in your older poems and enjoying.
