Wh're has't
thee gone
consum'd by drops of sorrow and mournful dirge
silent poetry flows with lament'd windeth
thy gaunt
behold wanes
each night.
dark roots
embrace thee,
deep-seat'd s'rrow unsettling and numbing.
erstwhile bitt'r struggles, hesitating in darkness;
thy soft
bareth lips
grave laden.
darkness awakes
the unhurri'd
moon, cooling the unburnish'd fractur'd heart;
nev'r an earthly s'raph to console
thy lament
dissipating soul's
ceaseless ache
