Curious Water...
sun patches move over the ground like curious water after a spill
as barn swallows swirl around like a funnel that is losing its fill
black birds jump over the field like notes on a music sheet
with a pink freckled fawn playing under their groundless feet
and receding sulfur butterflies glimmer like farm angels in a snow globe
as the now approaching grey hued clouds wear a waterfall robe
and I start to run back for cover from the rain that's chasing me from behind
but not before I wrote it all down about a poetic flurry within my mind
