Covenant of God With Me Thru the Rainbow
God said in Genesis 9:13, “I do set my bow* in the cloud…”
That is His message revealed to me in a manner so clear and loud
Enabling my soul to trust Him… humbled from being proud
For me to learn His truth, and receive blessings He has vowed!
The rainbow, asserts the verse, “shall be a token of a covenant...”
Such for me brings God’s grace and goodness-grant
While I submit to His perfect will, triumphantly jubilant
To minister to others as His privileged servant!
Beholding the rainbow, I’m reminded of God’s assurance
To secure me forever by His eternal salvation- insurance
Illumining with His wisdom against deceit and ignorance
Cheering my spirit midst trials thru His strength’s endurance!
With God’s promise, brightened by the rainbow’s magnificence
I’m upheld upon His faithfulness, indeed devoid of negligence.
Hence, grateful to the Lord, I constantly seek His presence…
Being established in my faith for good-works’ persistence!
*Genesis 9:16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
