Contrasts of Calvary

History’s most horrific crime
the greatest injustice of all time
supreme love beyond comprehension
amazing act of condescension
infinite mercy and undeserved grace
extended to the human race
Creator sacrificed for His creation
to procure so great a salvation
all this and so much more I see
surveying the cross of Calvary.

Carol, I see the same thing when viewing the cross of Calvary. Very nicely conveyed in your poem. With many outstanding entries, judging was difficult (again). Congratulations on your win! And thank you for supporting the contest. Best wishes, Carolyn
