In her words I see myself,
like a sweet whispering in the dark;
we each keep our words on a shelve,
it seems to me we share a common spark.
We surrender all our deep emotions for others to find,
releasing our grief and lament;
trying, trying to leave our sorrow far behind,
but, both can write of nature's sweet scent.
And we pen poems of our once upon a time,
with odd patterns and layouts we find quite poetic,
in free verse, verse, sonnet and lovely rhyme;
we pour our souls into lines that may seem pathetic.
And like me, she is not afraid of introspection,
where words unspoken grace our written pages;
in fragments of her poetry I can see my own reflection,
and words that will last the ages.
Oh, perhaps in dreams our Muse's meet,
and bring us inspiration and words of deep love;
of faith and God and angels sweet,
and poems of sorrow for those who dwell up above.
I find trinkets wonderful in her poetry here and there,
and I believe we share a mutual style;
where sometimes our words read like a prayer,
and then, at times can bring a poetic smile.
