Come Home

I’ve got a funny story here I want to share it with you You see, there’s this little girl I know Met her just on the outside of town She said lady will you walk with me I’m lost and please help me I don’t know which way to go Can’t find my mom and dad and bro And I said, Someone once walked this path with me and she’s not here anymore So before I let go, let me walk this path with you We held hands and she heard me say, Where have I run all these years? Where have I gone all these years? Seems I have nowhere else to go Seems I don’t know when to let go Will it be alright if I come home? She tightly held my hand and whispered, Lady I’ll walk this path with you So come on and don’t let go We'll walk and we’ll take it slow You walk with me and I'll walk with you We held hands and she heard me say Where have I run all these years? Where have I gone all these years? Seems I have nowhere else to go Seems I don’t know when to let go Will it be alright if I come home? This is my stop now, lady Now it’s time for me to go I’ll be alright now, this is my home Now it’s time for you to go It’s alright if you don’t let go Your heart will know when it’s time to go And I said Where have I run all these years? Where have I gone all these years? Seems I have nowhere else to go Seems I don’t know when to let go Will it be alright if I come home? Oh, where have I run all these years? Where have I gone all these years? Seems I have nowhere else to go Seems I don’t know when to let go Will it be alright if I come home?
