City Hike Adventure
I like a city hike adventure
so I pack snacks, water and camera
I put on my runners and sunglasses
and with backpack and my hat I am ready
and taking the downtown bus
I get off on a street I do not know
and now the adventure can begin ...
I take photographs and make journal notes
of old buildings that I find interesting
I go into small vintage shops
and browse used books and a farmer's market
and on a covered terrace I sip tea watching people
later - I wander all the curving side streets
then, go home tired and inspired
