At first it seemed as if the night had sang Our pine tree lit mostly with an array of decor: Until I watched two boys roaming out the lane, Looking weary -- as if they had nowhere to go-- In the chill of Christmas Eve's near hours.. I asked Mom if these children could drop by, Maybe for apple pies or ginger ale. With gentle smiles, they came around To join us for a feast and Yuletide games. Learning about their father sick for days, Both brothers needed to go caroling for a meal ... Touched, I offered my piggy bank As a little gift without hesitation, That no words could explain this sense of joy In my heart: Quietly my eyes gazed At the angel atop.our evergreen tree glowing like a holy light which made my young head bow to say a Prayer of thanks, While around, tunes of ' Jinge Bells' merrily chimed, Childhood Christmas Memories Sponsor: Bic Gi-Sa 12/2/2017
