Cherished

Every dawn, every sunset, every night are moments cherished, with you sometimes they pass unnoticed others, stay as precious memories a day beneath a passing sun tossing pennies in a stream making wishes from our dreams when first we met an evening watching you run through a sudden downpour with a rainbow at your back trying to make it to our front door a night driving in a car...lost never getting very far ending up on the same road breaking up in laughter realizing we've become two old people driving in circles moments held like precious jewels become timeless ribbons shared with our souls tied like bows around our hearts presents for tomorrow's honeyed recollections born from unselfish love that made us one we laugh as one, we cry as one, we play as one our only fear is we know one day, it will all be gone there's great sadness in this and yet, no one could cherish anyone more than we cherish each other 3/31/21 contest Writing Prompt...Cherish sponsor Constance La France
