Can You Hear Hope Calling

If you listen carefully You should hear Hope calling to you, fearfully In the dark, And in the Park. Asking you to stand up, And not give up, To find love, And come to hope. Asking you to embrace it Until you feel fit, And then pass it on as a gift. Hope is calling you to a fate, Devoid of hate, Where Love is your only calling, And sharing your main reason for living.

You have made my day. Thanks for taking time to read and comment. Now that I have cancer (treatable they say) will find out at Haematology On the 19th, poetry writing and reading touches my soul and and gladdens my heart. Like hope it calls out to me. Regards David in NZ

So glad to hear that. I was feeling a bit down when I wrote it. I had to speak up about unacceptable in a care facility I am a casual reliever at. The clients have a right to hope for better even though it means a staff member will lose their job. The worst is the organisation providing care is also culpable as they employ people and put them in positions they are not trained properly for. Being a casual made decision easier and anyway I go on pension next year so can choose not to work for them if things turn nasty. Hope really is a gift worth sharing even if consequences arise. Best regards as always David in NZ
