California Sunrise Surprise
California Sunrise Surprise
Shadow dancing leaves on my bedroom
wall.
Sunrise giving them, ever so gently,
their official wake up call.
Rising to life at nature's ballet bar,
With gossamer wings it seems.
To rise, stretch, dance and to please.
Oh, California sunrise leaves!
Dancing with each other to the end of
love.
Their music, I hear it so gently play,
Like the satiny waves from magical,
distant, Santorini Bay, thousands
of miles away.
A ballet of leaves now dancing in the
glistening, very sudden, California rain.
