BREAK OF THE SKY
An unusual and formal weather
Chilly and freezing, warm and hot
Raining or drizzling? some may say
So just suit yourself to the best of may.
Sunny, cloudy, dark and fair
One sheet of clouds, dark and grey;
Clothes the great sky
Raining and pouring
Pitter, patter splashes of glory;
It’s a moment to tell a story.
Dawn or dusk
It glows and sparks;
Nobody can tell the difference
‘tis all the same
So just make hay.
There’s neither a cool breeze
Nor chattering monkeys;
Chirping, singing and whistling birds
Calm and still is the day in rain
All’s at uttermost peace of lone.
The children wait and wish indoors,
Only if the sun would shine and the soft breeze
Comes back again;
The birds will sing once more, in blooming flowers again
Then the earth is merry and gay;
Full of joy and fair
Only if the breaking of the sky is today.
