I remember my teenage years How at the whim of outside forces My heart would feel tormented Naïve and surrendering control I saw myself as a mere puppet I was significantly older when Eventually I realized where dwelled Empowering thoughts and how It was a matter of brainstorming To stir up their exponential magic A whirlwind of options opening up to A new day a new me a new world AP: 3rd place 2021 Submitted on October 3, 2018 for contest BRAINSTORMING sponsored by JOHN HAMILTON

"at the whim of outside forces my heart would feel tormented" - this explains age 14 or 15 perfectly! "Eventually I realized where dwelled empowering thoughts" - this did not hit me until the late 20's. I wish you well in this contest. It is a beautifully powerful write, Line.
