Blessed Life
Grateful to God for my blessed* life
nourished by grace bounty
joyous heart basks with gifts so rife.
Guarded against lurking doubts' reign
having truth as firm shield
hopeful soul finds peace amidst pain.
Gripped by Christ's assurance, steadfast
facing varied trials
fervent faith smites dread of bad past.
Girded toward service with love
sharing kindness and bliss
I seek help from Father above.
*Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
