Blazing summer

Our summer it is surely here
Th sky is blue and oh so clear
I hold this season very dear
But searing heat is bad this year
So many folk want it to go
They cannot take the sun’s fierce glow
It makes our flowers fail to grow
It takes away our gardens show
But me I really love each day
I love my life in every way
Cause I’m alive and that’s okay
Whether the sky is blue or grey

Each day I live I feel so grand
Though, many me, don’t understand

Hi Tom, I fully agree with you on this on. I listen to all the family morning about the weather while I smile. I love to be alive. Thank you, my friend for your kind comments....peter

I am like a cat, sitting in the sun, enjoying her to the biggest degree, so this one appeals to me so much! Nice one.

Then we are wo of a kind. I spent some time in Arizona many years ago in the summer. I would take walks in the heat, and most people would tell me off in case I got ill. Even in the night time there it was close to a hundred. In the daytime it beamed above it. I think it's going to be a hundred here again today. Thanks for your kind comments, my friend....Peter

Summers get harder and harder as we age. I know you are probably too young to understand that right now. If not for air conditioning I would have a hard time making it through summers here. Thanks for the visit to my page. Your work is always up to par. Sara

Hi Sara. I guess that I am very lucky, at seventy six nothing really is hard for me. But the rest of the family suffer from these hundred degrees. I love it all every season The power in the skies most certainly looks after me, and I am so grateful. The only thing I get is dizzy spells which makes me prone to clumsily falling over. Thank you, my friend for your kind comments. My heart is always with you, my friend....peter
