Birth
I am so very blessed,
just to have been born.
From my Mother’s womb,
I could have been
easily shorn.
But like all poets here, our
Mothers gave us life!
We all caused them both great
joy and no doubt, some strife!
We did not come from a daisy,
nor a rainbow, neither a stone.
But from parents, their very blood,
flesh and bone.
This is a salute to all mothers, for
our very existence .
It’s my gratitude for my birth, that fills
me with joy and confidence!
Thank you, Mom, for my body and
God filled soul.
To one day be reunited in heaven with
you, is my cherished goal!
