Bird Tracks In the Snow
impressions
in a fresh coat of snow
scampering impressions
of directions
I behold
under a placid glow
sunshine through haze
whispers of winter
waiting
a trail ends
and leads to flight
silhouettes of birds
like angels
take to the air
seen through windows
of my imagination
fingers of bare trees
point upwards
a thaw of stillness
gives way
to a cacophony of chirps
the song
of the coming spring
