Bird,S Eye

BIRD’S EYE He sails above the city valley This bird This bird of paradise Oh he’s not the familiar, many colored fowl… Well? Many colored, yes. But not the New Guinea variety of creatures struggling to survive No This flyer has purpose He’s heaven’s own eye And he watches, Watches from high above the crowded, jumbled skyscrapers. Watches those civilized ants racing along to somewhere – God only knows where – And he quite often calls down, His sweet falsetto urging, Urging the racers to stop - STOP! – To gather together In a profound silence And listen to his song Dave Austin

A colorful metaphor that sinks into the mind containing the Divine message we all need to heed. This is really beautiful Daver!7

A wonderful message here. We get so busy rushing through life trying to be something, that we forget to just be, to stop and smell the flowers, to listen to a cricket chorus.

Profound thought dear poet ! The trope which you bring to your enthusiastic readers gives credence to, the cliche', "Bird's eye view" ! Great write and sage wise sir ! Have a blessed week my friend......much love, james

People are too busy to notice the beauty around them, Dave. Life has become a mad rush to....nowhere in particular! It's time to slow down, relax, look around us and listen. All the best. // paul
