Beef Potatoes and Pie Please

Beef. Potatoes. Pie. If not that, nothing. He would not even eat. Lasagna? No. Spaghetti? Eye roll. He would rather eat confetti. Beef. Potatoes. Pie. That was my Dad’s idea of dinner. An Iowa farm boy, he wanted these three things at every meal. Except breakfast. Breakfast could be corn meal mush or a pancake. He put corn in the batter too. Corn-on-the-cob and chocolate cake Were also acceptable in the corn state. Berry cobbler was welcome too. After Beef, potato, and pie. Dad’s go-to-meal. Rhubarb his favorite, just like me!

Was fun to learn a bit about your family fare! My mom would make rhubarb pie once a year. I never have. But I would like to sometime… eye roll. Probably not happen LOL

Beef is our go-to dish. We are from Iowa a land of farmers who love comfort foods.
