Beauty's Surprise
The magic in her voice
The music in her heart
The whirlwind of her gait
The whisper of her fate
Countenance so merry
Personality light and airy
By day, like sparkling wine
By night, lustrous star-shine
Life and love at her fingertips
Allure, the promise of her lips
Suitors came from near and far
Laying gifts at her altar
Until one day, to their surprise
The anger in her soul did rise
Proving beauty's not always wise
~ What am I? Some kind of prize?"
