Autumn of My Life
Happy Birthday ~
I’m suddenly feeling the need
to grow up and
decide what to do
with the rest of my life
the kind of person
I want to share my time with
what my priorities will be
what I’ll want to accomplish
where I want to be in ten years
I can’t continue to be
that eternal teenager
pretending not to grow older
meanwhile they keep surfacing
more and more often
those cold splashes of reality
