Autumn of Life
It
is the
autumn of
life. I ponder
while the fire burns slowly to soothe my stress
and soft music plays to calm my frayed nerves.
Outside brown leaves
fall. The cold
heaps its
frost
on
the last
ripe grapes of
my large vineyard.
It is the last of my summer red wine.
